I didn't mind being a fox. In fact, I quite enjoyed it. But being that age? I was- am- a soldier. A sword to the gut, looking like this, is preferable to a permanent sleep like that. Parts of me ached that really shouldn't have been aching.

I need to do something to feel better. Does anyone feel in the mood for a run? I need to run.

Perhaps this is simply the coward's way out, but think of it as a fitting end to your time here. It hasn't been easy and our friendship, if one could really call it that, started as nothing more than a tolerance for you because of your husband's inmate. Not that I would expect any differently, considering how we started.

I will admit now, in this letter, that I regret what I've done to you. I've caused you harm in more ways than I wish to think, and it has all been because of something that never once involved you. And that is inexcusable.

I wish you well, dear Angelica, with your family, though people here will miss you. Your strength is what they will admire about you, but it is your virtue that you will be remembered for.
